Newly opened in July 2006, the La Barbacane Aparthotel complex is a modern, low-rise property with an interior garden, situated just below the medieval walls of Carcassonne. It houses 70 accommodations, which range from studios (25 square metres) to 2-room apartments (45 square metres). Clean and functional, they feature light cream décor and are well equipped. The property also offers a breakfast room, car parking, a fitness space, a jacuzzi and free high-speed Internet access. The reception desk is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 9.00pm. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, it is closed from 8.00am to noon and from 2.00pm to 6.00pm.
