Certainly worth staying within the Cite walls to enjoy Carcassonne once the daily visitors have gone home.

lovely hotel in great location within the walls of the od city, don't even think of booking anywhere else, the whole Ramparts and city are on your doorstep and it's a fair walk into the town.
Top Tip
forget the bus into Carcassonne from the airport, the taxi is cheap and quick........Take your own toilet tissue, the public toilets never have any

A quality hotel at a fantastic location in the heart of the old city. Drinks are expensive in the hotel bar.

There are three parts to this hotel and roads are TINY, so try to take map. Any other hotel will give you one e.g.BEFORE you cross the drawbridge!
Clients should be clearly warned by hotel of parking charges - 16euros for two nights in hotel car-park.

The heritage site is very touristy and claustrophobic; the Old Town has bars, brasseries, and great shoe-shops.... Mirepoix is good fof lunch and visit - medieval with lovely open square...27k.

Hotel is split over three sites, which can be a nuisance when you have to walk down the road for breakfast. The room was newly refurbished and well appointed. Location was very good.
